The greater force

The water is calm.

The world is ripping apart.

Bullies bully. In the current environment, the excuse for bullying is flimsy at best. But it matters not.

People get away with their bullying because we let them.

It always starts small. That first Little Atrocity. (https://syntropic.world/little-atrocities-the-path-from-integrity-to-self-deception-and-bad-business/)I have been accused, more than once, of being too pedantic, too particular, about that first, seemingly insignificant violation. Yet I know the path to horror. One very small step at a time, until the snowball is impossible to contain.

The snowball is roaring down the mountain, and the avalanche is imminent.

I wonder what my country will do in the face of a clear violation of anything considered civil or lawful? We, a minion on the global stage, are so thoroughly tied to the teat of Empire that to protest is risky.

But that is the point. Is that not the story of all the great movies? The overthrow of the cruel Empire. Ah, but the cruel Empire is the very one we have been told to revere.

Perhaps the enemy is not the enemy.

Perhaps the stories we have been told are missing most of the information.

Bullies thrive on supremacy. Yet their power is built on a platform of gossamer.

Our history is soaked in the blood and bones of the bully states. Thriving today, captured in a live stream. I am the offspring of one.

True courage is heart and action, for something far greater than self. For love. For others. For the future.

Protest is crucial. Again, I applaud Mayor Mamdani. For his courage to call out the law-breaking.

It is the archetypal tale of David and Goliath.

Love and heart win in the end, because they are, like Syntropy, the greater force. Not gossamer, but synergistic steel.
