Some things are simple

Treat others as you would yourself. This includes holding yourself to account for genuine mistakes and unexplored biases. It also includes appropriate consequences for deliberate acts of corruption and violence.

There is no justification for killing children. They are not collateral damage. Ever.

Children treated well, with love and respect for all life, do not grow up to be terrorists. Refuse to indoctrinate them that they are superior to other humans for any reason.

International Law – human rights – care for the environment; these are not to be cherry-picked when it suits your agenda. They either hold, or do not. Standing for International Law, even when the forces are great to capitulate, is where dignity and honour live. (Many governments, including my own, cherry-pick for convenience and political gain.)

If your technology goes rogue, the technology creator/company needs to be held to account with at least the same level of accountability that would be deemed appropriate for an individual actor. Bad technology is the crime of the company and people making it. Hold the CEO and the board of directors to account at the highest level.

Protests by those with big platforms, like Massive Attack’s lead singer Robert Del Naja, actors Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, and many others, matter. The more they protest, the more we join their protest, the sooner the change will come. (Massive Attack frontman Robert Del Naja (also known as 3D) was arrested outside the Labour Party conference in Liverpool on September 26, 2026, on suspicion of showing support for the proscribed organisation Palestine Action. He was sitting on the ground with a sign.)

Refusal to participate in ‘games’ (Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu) is to take the moral high ground. Refusal to normalise evil is a daily act and choice.

The UN Security Council needs to be busted up. No one should be able to vote for their own country when the vote is about acts of aggression or corruption by their own country, no matter how powerful that country is.

Take all money out of politics. Every penny of funding for a political campaign must be immediately transparent and capped.
