A worthy reminder in all cases of change

My body has changed shape in the last year. I am not enjoying it.

I have grown boobs I am not used to, and a tummy I loathe.

I have also increased my strength through heavy lifting, which I like.

Trying to figure out how to adapt things to work in a post menopausal world is not easy.

Different everything. Different eating, exercise, and sleep patterns.

The desire to stay strong, agile, fit and balanced motivates me. This is easy.

But adapting diet and finding the formula for me is not easy.

Research on athletic postmenopausal women is scant.

That means experimentation.

I was reminded this morning that the changes of puberty are equally alien to so many boys and girls. We forget that the changes we experience as we age are also alien.

Changes keep us on our toes. I need to embrace the experiment rather than fight the change.

A worthy reminder in all cases of change.
