How do you create the culture you want?

It’s the culture - easy to say, as if the word itself comes loaded with the means to create one.

There is always a culture. It just may not be one you want or like.

In Syntropic World, our suite of tools and practices creates a culture of self-responsibility, agency, collaboration, trust, integrity and synergy - where we are better for working together.

Desired cultural creation is a design science. Thoughtful. Deliberate. Imbued with love and care.

We use tools such as the Trust Manifesto. Synergistic Accounting. The leader as steward. Clean Communication.

We design everything knowing we are working with a living system. Not a machine. Not a strategy document. Emergent. Alive.

We are clear on purpose, but purpose alone is not enough. It provides the direction but not the means to get where we want to go. For that, we need a ship, an enterprise, akin to a living cell with a semi-permeable membrane. It is in the membrane that the Trust Manifesto and Synergistic Accounting tools live. It is the primary domain of the stewards.

Within the ship, we practice, learn and emerge. We live the principles.

The membrane holds the shape, the integrity of what we hold as sacred. Against pressure, planned and unplanned, a well-designed Syntropic Enterprise holds its shape, even when internal or external forces seek to distort it.

We know who we are. We know why we are doing what we do. We know the values and principles that we hold as inviolate. We have made power and power flows clean and clear; we are transparent about money, never allowing it to dominate purpose or principles; we welcome healthy conflict; and we are constantly ensuring trust is kept and enhanced at all times.

People have glorious agency, yet they work collaboratively. Our most significant indicator of success is that all who are a part of and affected by our enterprise move towards a higher order of syntropy and wellbeing, in the six domains of Synergistic Accounting.

People, in this culture, come alive and bring their best.
