The morality that says every life is sacred

The system is working as designed. Extract from the downtrodden, the lower ‘castes’, those with limited access to education, those who do not look like those in power, or pray to a similar god.

Build the data centres in places already hollowed out by poverty. Places that have lived the neglect of society for decades. Out of sight, out of mind.

Plunder from the earth, the enslaved, artists, and now, in the last stages of capitalism, the middle class.

The flow of wealth upwards, never trickle down, as promised. Upwards to the very few, the people who have never reflected on the meaning of enough.

Point the blame for our woes to the other - the different - the migrant - the gender diverse. All the while taking more and more and more while we fight each other for scraps, missing the real game being played.

It is the playbook as old as time.

Democracy is not something that a country is built upon. Democracy is a daily commitment. Always a movement to be fought for, defended. It is fragile. Power hates it. Money hates it. A rising number of governments in the world hate it. The tech bros no longer keep their hatred of democracy a secret.

There is no resting. Only the constant commitment to a better, moral world.

Not the morality spoken by evil, where the claim is that it is morally sound to wipe out babies of a particular group.

The morality that says every life is sacred.

Every life is sacred. Beauty is how we touch the sacred. Kindness and care towards life and ourselves are the actions of the sacred. Integrity is the field that nurtures the sacred.

To remain in integrity, against the relentless pull of Little Atrocities, is a daily, moment-by-moment act.

Often an act seen as so small as to be irrelevant; however, in truth, it is the most powerful act we can take at every intersection. Rare enough in these times to be experienced as exceptional.

Above all else, this is the deep work of Syntropic World. To restore integrity to business and humanity.
