Dismissing simple because we are so smothered in complex

Dismissing simple because we are so smothered in complex

When our days feel like an assault of bad news, conflict, hardship, corrupted leadership and a seriously broken Molochian system, we might forget that some things are very simple.

For many things, there are steps and habits that are simple, that when done with disciplined consistency, produce healthy results in the future.

The morning routine - the frame that sets the day. Be it exercise, meditation, or journalling. Every day. Non-negotiable.

The actions that maintain a business and bring in income. First thing. Every day.

Attention to the quality of our primary relationships as one of the highest priorities. Never to be put aside as not important today.

These daily actions and priorities are our life and wellbeing anchors. They tether us to earth, keeping us from becoming separated from what matters most.

It’s not a shopping list. Only 2 or 3 things in our self-care and 2-3 things in our business.

Simple. Repeat.

If you do not have these daily simple non-negotiable activities, today would be a great day to begin.

To frame a story is to set a context that allows the story to exist within the frame or context. When we seek to frame our lives, we might consider what structure is needed to allow the parts of us to hold together, to be in integrity. The frame might include the daily habits that support us. The values we hold non-negotiable. The relationships that are...

October 6th 2026 The morality that says every life is sacred The morality that says every life is sacred The system is working as designed. Extract from the downtrodden, the lower ‘castes’, those with limited access to education, those who do not look like those in power, or pray to a similar god. Build the data centres in places already hollowed out by poverty. Places that have lived the neglect of society for decades. Out of sight, out of mind. Plunder from the earth, the enslaved, artists,...

October 5th 2026 Cry Terrorism Cry terrorism One of Aesop’s Fables, Cry Wolf, tells the story of a bored shepherd boy who, seeking some excitement, cries out that a wolf is attacking his sheep. The first time, the villagers rush to help him. And the second time. Maybe even the third time. But it was all a ploy. There was no wolf. One day, a wolf appears, and the boys’ cries fall on deaf ears. The wolf of 2026 is terrorism. And people – particularly politicians and those who seek to gain – are...
